Whitstable is a town in Kent, England with a population of around 30,000. It is a seaside resort, on the North Sea coast, facing Essex across the Thames Estuary and the Isle of Sheppey across the Swale.

Whitstable is 5 miles (8 km) north of the historic cathedral city of Canterbury and 2 miles (3 km) to the west of the seaside town of Herne Bay. It is part of the Canterbury Local Authority district.
